ALFA is a national professional membership organization serving companies that operate professionally managed senior living communities. Assisted living is regulated at the state level and it is ALFA's highest priority to ensure that state rules and regulations governing the operations of ALFA’s members are aligned with the best interests of the seniors served by ALFA’s members. This is best accomplished by state level affiliates and chapters with whom ALFA shares a common mission and purpose. ALFA recognizes only one state organization in each state as its official ALFA state affiliate or chapter. ALFA and the state organization enter into a partnership whereby each organization commits to work with the other to achieve a shared vision.
