ALFA's Mission, Vision & Principles

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA). Please feel free to download a PDF about ALFA.

Founded in 1990, ALFA serves as the voice for operators of senior living communities and the seniors and families those communities serve.

Members of ALFA exemplify the principles of choice, dignity, and independence for seniors. To support these principles and to enhance quality of life for seniors, ALFA influences public policy, promotes business excellence, and ensures an informed public.

ALFA operates five state chapters and has agreements with 32 independent ALFA affiliate organizations that focus on state-specific public policy initiatives and education efforts. Learn more about ALFA state chapters and affiliates is available.

The ALFA logo is a registered trademark and the property of ALFA. Guidelines have been developed to explain and facilitate the usage of the ALFA logo.

SENIOR Living Art Showcase

Did you know the 2015 ALFA & Sargent Art Senior Living Art Showcase is 100% virtual this year and ALL art forms are accepted? Senior living communities who wish to participate should organize an art party for their residents to create artwork that fits this year's theme, "Life is Beautiful"! Take a moment to learn more about the 2015 showcase and submit a photograph of the residents' artwork. Deadline for entry is April 15, 2015.
