At a time when assistive technology devices are being developed to assist aging seniors, family caregivers continue to rely on people and online information, not devices. In a Caring.com survey on caregiving technology devices, respondents eschew in-home technology in favor of hands-on care. Thirty percent of families surveyed pay professionals, such as home care agencies, to care for their loved ones in their homes, often to supplement care provided by a family member.
