Each year, the ALFA Hero Awards recognize individuals who are ideal representatives of the hundreds of thousands of people serving in senior living communities.
For the first time, the 2014 awards will include public voting for the winners from a select group of nominees. ALFA members along with a nominee’s family and friends can champion their nominated hero. The public voting period will begin in mid-January. Also for the first time, nominators may submit videos to help showcase their nominees commitment and dedication their residents.

Who can nominate a Hero?: ALFA Hero Award nominations of community staff are welcomed from community executive directors/administrators or company and regional executives.
Who are candidates for this award?: Executive directors are no longer eligible for the ALFA Hero Awards as a result of the introduction of the ALFA Senior Living Community Leadership Award.
Questions Asked During Hero Nominations
Nominations are due by December 13, 2013. All companies submitting award nominations must be ALFA members in order to move on to being assessed. Every submission will be judged and ranked against the following criteria:
