ALFA Core Principles

A vital role of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) is to advocate on behalf of senior living and the residents served by senior living companies.

ALFA’s Core Principles, promulgated and approved by the ALFA's Board of Directors, are used to guide ALFA’s efforts in shaping public policy. These principles encourage consumer choice, quality care and accessibility for all Americans needing assistance with long-term care.

The members of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) exemplify the principles of choice, dignity, and independence for seniors. To support these principles and to enhance quality of life for seniors, ALFA influences public policy, promotes business excellence, and ensures an informed public.

SENIOR Living Art Showcase

Did you know the ALFA 2013 Senior Living Art Showcase is 100% virtual this year and ALL art forms are accepted? Senior living residents who wish to participate should simply send a photograph of their artwork to ALFA, with an explanation of how it fits this year's theme, "Celebrating the beauty of life"! Take a moment to learn more about the 2013 showcase rules and guidelines. Deadline for entry is February 25, 2013.
