ALFAPAC

ALFAPAC logo

ALFAPAC exists to support the Assisted Living Federation of America's (ALFA's) grassroots advocacy and paid lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill.  Much has been said about the role of money in today’s politics.  True, there are a few bad-faith actors that unfortunately get more press than the great many organizations that use money in an open and honest way to support those elected officials who demonstrate a passion for their issues, but it’s the later approach that we take at ALFAPAC.

A contribution to ALFAPAC goes to support sitting Senators and Members of Congress who have already acted to enhance the future of senior living – not to persuade other officials to do so.

ALFAPAC is governed by a steering committee of four Assisted Living Federation of America Directors who are appointed by the ALFA Board Chair.  The ALFAPAC steering committee works to raise funds for the PAC and works hand-in-hand with ALFA’s Public Policy committee in targeting and approving all contributions made to elected officials.  Again, this decision is based upon a past record of support for the Assisted Living Federation of America and of ALFA’s issues.

Federal election law requires Assisted Living Federation of America member companies to give prior authorization before ALFAPAC can communicate with their employees.  For more information about the prior approval process, follow the link below.
