2012 Film Competition on Ageism Winner

The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), representing senior living providers and the seniors and families they serve, is a leading voice in the fight against ageism in America. ALFA is again sponsoring a film competition featuring short films (under 8 minutes) about ageism that illuminated specific discriminatory practices against seniors, prejudicial attitudes toward the aging process, and institutional practices that perpetuate stereotypes about seniors. The winning film, Life is a Ball, was screened during COMMUNITY 2012, the annual ALFA conference and expo, May 16-18, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.
