Preparing for Successful Experiences & Outcomes During the Assisted Living Regulatory Survey

ALFA 2013 Conference & Expo Session: Preparing for Successful Experiences & Outcomes During the Assisted Living Regulatory Survey

Presented: Thursday, May 9 | 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Michael Pochowski, Manager of Government Affairs and Legal Operations at Brookdale Senior Living presents, "The Assisted Living Regulatory Process - Preparing for Successful Outcomes". Regulatory inspections or surveys can be a stressful time for assisted living owners, operators, administrators, and employees. While the process itself varies by state, there are strategies that every company can adopt to improve the survey experience. These strategies can give administrators and employees more confidence during the survey, reduce the stress associated with having regulators in your communities, and improve the survey outcomes. This session will cover strategies and tactics that you can implement, from pre-survey, exit interviews, and receipt of written survey deficiencies to improve your outcomes.
