Windsor Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence Planned For Timuquana in Jacksonville, Florida
Legend Senior Living announces groundbreaking of Windsor Assisted living and Memory Care residence at 5939 Roosevelt Boulevard in Jacksonville. The two-story, free-standing Windsor will consist of 74 private one and two-bedroom apartments, and 24 private suites dedicated for Memory Care. This is the eighth Windsor Assisted Living and Memory in Florida developed and managed by Legend Senior Living. The design has been applauded by local communities for its stylish design, lush landscaping plan as well as the innovative approach to healthcare, wellness, and hospitality services.
The Windsor Assisted Living Residence will provide a personalized balance of assistance and independence. The care model emphasizes a homelike residential design and programming developed to help older adults maintain an active, rich quality of life.
The Reflections Memory Care Residence at Windsor combines thoughtful design with beautiful private suites to meet the needs of individuals with memory impairments, such as Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The innovative life enrichment programs and specialized staff training provide superior resident-focused care.
Legend Senior Living CEO Tim Buchanan and longtime partner and managing member Pete Russell, a part-time Ponte Vedra Beach resident who directs the design and development services for Windsor’s in Florida, provide the unique blend of professional expertise in care, management, and local ownership. It is a combination that has worked well for residents and their families in other Florida communities, including Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch, Palm Coast, Ocala, Venice, Bradenton and Cape Coral.
HADP Architecture, Inc. designed the project; J. McLauchlin Company is the general contractor; and Joe Russell of KW Commercial represented the Windsor Companies on the purchase of the properties. The Windsor is planned for completion in early 2014.
