ALFA Supports Retirement Living World China 2012

ALFA is supporting the 2nd Annual Retirement Living World China 2012, May 28-31, 2012, Shanghai, China.

Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) members will receive 15 % off conference registrations for this year’s Retirement Living World China 2012. Retirement Living World China 2012 will provide valuable insights into China's rapidly expanding senior living market.

China is a once in a generation opportunity for retirement community operators and developers as no country is aging faster! In 2011, the number of Chinese over 60 was greater than the populations of Germany and France combined together. By 2050, China’s over 60 population will be greater than the entire population of the United States of America.

The shortage of seniors housing is chronic, the government announced targets of adding 3.4 million beds to the system by 2015. The private sector will be expected to contribute the majority of this additional capacity. To encourage the private sector, tax breaks, discounted land prices and grants are being offered by both municipal and provincial governments.
