ALFA and Willis Partner to Advance Business Excellence in Senior Living

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5, 2012 – The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) today announced a new exclusive business relationship with Willis North America, the global insurance broker, to help senior living operators reduce costs, better mitigate risk and improve services offered to seniors and their families.

“Our new relationship with Willis will advance business excellence in senior living,” said Richard P. Grimes, president and CEO of ALFA.  “Willis has a vast amount of experience serving senior living operators and understanding their complex insurance and risk reduction needs.  Given the company’s depth of knowledge and its open door to sharing best practices, it is a natural partner for ALFA to turn to in our efforts to raise the bar for excellence in senior living.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Willis will serve as the exclusive endorsed risk management insurance broker and human capital consulting partner for ALFA and its members.  Willis’ Senior Living Practice Group will work with ALFA members to reduce costs, improve their operating risk profile and better meet their employee benefit and insurance objectives. 

ALFA member companies operating senior living communities, inclusive of independent living, assisted living and Alzheimer’s care, will have access to enhanced property, casualty and employee benefit policy terms and conditions, competitive pricing and cutting edge risk management solutions specific to the senior living business.  In addition, ALFA members will have exclusive access to Willis’ Senior Living Practice Group expertise and resources via a web-based portal.
