Learn about legal issues affecting long term care and hear ALFA President & CEO Rick Grimes, along with other industry insiders, discuss the current operational and regulatory environment for senior living communities at this illuminating conference.

ALFA is pleased once again, to announce its sponsorship of the upcoming American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), annual Long Term Care (LTC) and the Law Conference, taking place in Phoenix, AZ, at the Arizona Biltmore, from Monday, February 27 through Wednesday, February 29, 2012.  AHLA is the nation’s largest, nonpartisan, not-for-profit educational organization, dedicated to legal healthcare issues.

AHLA’s 2012 LTC and the Law program includes an individual educational track for nursing facility, assisted living and home health attorneys and providers.  The Program Planning Committee has made a concentrated effort to include sessions with practical information useful to providers, as well as those who represent them in areas of Medicare, Medicaid, Enforcement, Fraud, Diversification, Transactions, Risk Management, etc.  Each track also includes “hot topic” issues such as predictive modeling, physician integration, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), bundling, social media, increasing patient acuity, patient mental health issues to mention only a few.

During the opening general session, a CEO panel with Mark Parkinson (American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living), Richard Grimes (Assisted Living Federation of America), Larry Minnix (Leading Age) and Val Halamandaris (National Association for Home Care & Hospice) will discuss how providers are responding to the current operating and regulatory challenges arising from both health care reform and the current market place.  Further, Dr. Robyn Stone also will join us during the opening session to talk about the future of long term care.

As a co-sponsor to the conference, ALFA non-attorney members will receive a special discounted rate of $550 and ALFA In-House Counsel will receive a special discounted rate of $690.  Under this offer, ALFA members who write “ALFA non-attorney member or In-House Counsel” on his/her registration form will receive the respective discounted rate.  Register now!
