ALFA has announced its support of H.R. 2587, the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act, which would prohibit the National Labor Relations Board from ordering an employer to relocate, shut down or transfer their business. ALFA has signed on to a letter authored by the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace (CDW) and signed by other businesses and organizations in support of the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act (H.R. 2587). The law would ensure that job creators can choose where and how to make workforce investments without concern that the National Labor Relations Board will continue the anti-employer activism being witnessed in the infamous Boeing case. Unions have already filed “copycat” complaints against other companies and will continue to do so unless such a law is passed. ALFA is a member of the CDW and actively participates in advancing our common objectives of protecting employer and employee rights through advocacy with Members of Congress and labor related agencies. 07/26/2011
